PALM BEACH, Fla. — Beckoning like a shimmering wave, The Omphoy Ocean Resort — the only beachfront boutique hotel in Palm Beach — is scheduled to open in early 2009. The Omphoy will be part of The Obadon Hotel Group, the same ownership company of the famed Brazilian Court, and will boast 134 guestrooms and suites, all of which will offer panoramic water views, an exclusive dining option and an unequalled spa experience.

Set to be open for most of the 2009 Palm Beach social season, celebrities and socialites will have a new locale to frequent this year with the debut of The Omphoy, a resort that will be a discreet oasis for the rich and famous. Incorporating clean, fresh and simplistic designs, owner and interior designer Leslie Schlesinger has custom designed every element and piece of furniture that will be in The Omphoy. With water being the ultimate inspiration and the consistent theme throughout the resort, each guestroom will feature panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean or the Intercostal Waterway, and reflecting pools and water features will be present around every turn. Elements of earth will also be found throughout The Omphoy with bronze tiles from the earth in each guestroom and bathroom, and natural coquina flooring in the lobby, spa and hallways and suede upholstery on the walls.

Restaurant and spa partnerships are currently being negotiated for The Omphoy — part of The Obadon Hotel Group where current partnerships include Michelle Bernstein, Fredric Fekkai, Daniel Boulud and Exhale Spa.
